Marty and I celebrated our 42nd wedding anniversary on June 7, 2017.  Our daughter Sarah and her husband Sean have blessed us with two grandchildren - Declan and Kyla.

We moved to in Kane County since 1991, and make our home at our farm in Big Rock.

We both graduated from the University of Evansville.  I have a BS degree with an accounting major and finance minor.  Since then, I have been an auditor and accountant for more than forty years.  I have worked in both the public and private sector.  My auditing experience includes retail and manufacturing businesses, Federal agencies, and bank examinations.  I served for fourteen years as Chief Financial Officer for a multi-state industrial sand corporation.

My family has deep ties to this community. Aside from Marty and I residing in Big Rock, Sarah and Sean live in nearby Sugar Grove, along with Declan and Kyla.   My mom still lives in Big Rock, while my sister Debbie and her husband Mike  live in neighboring Hinckley.

We believe that this is a great place to live and raise a family, and we are committed to giving back to the community as well.  Marty volunteers at the Between Friends Food Pantry in Sugar Grove.  Sarah is an Occupational Therapist at Marianjoy, she is also a certified therapeutic riding instructor who has volunteered for many years at Equine Dreams. Sean serves on the Sugar Grove Village Board and is an elementary teacher in the Kaneland school system.  My mom volunteers at her church.  My brother-in-law Mike serves on the Hinckley Village Board, and my sister Debbie has been a long time coach and supporter of area youth sports.

I was first elected Kane County Auditor in 2012.  I have been an elected Republican precinct committeeman since 2008. Currently I serve as the Treasurer for both the Kane County Republican Central Committee and the Western Kane County Republican Organization.

Before that I coached girls' basketball at Hinckley-Big Rock HS as well as a variety of youth sports and  I  also served as a trustee on the Big Rock Village Board prior to being elected County Auditor.
